This is a ring that makes a real statement, and that’s all thanks to some very clever designing by Vivienne Westwood. Vivienne, unlike than most ring designers, hasn’t designed this as ring. She’s styled it as something completely different – a belt.
Now I know what you’re imagining. You’re thinking it’s going to be one of those pieces of jewellery that’s takes it’s inspiration from something that you can’t see anything of in the end product. I thought exactly the same as you did. This, however is a ring that is exactly what it says it was going to be – a mini belt.
Don’t believe me? Take a close look, as well as the word “West Vivienne” you’ll notice there’s something you don’t usually see on a ring – a belt buckle, and that’s not all – this hanging from that buckle, hangs a piece of metal in just the same way belt material would.
The attention to detail is incredible, and it’s going to be one of those rings that has people asking you to see itevery time they spot it on your hand, followed by the next question of “Where did you get it?”
